Please be ready to give your presentation as well as to give feedback your classmates. You will have a sample rubric to work with and feedback that you can use to adjust your presentation. GOOD LUCK!

Today we will explore careers, hear from a variety of professionals, and discover some career paths that may be a good fit for you based on your interests and strengths. Not sure what those are yet? That's okay! We will begin by taking an assessment (survey) to discover your unique strengths. Each grade level will complete a different assessment. iShowcase is less than one week away! Today and tomorrow you will be practicing your presentations. Your teachers will divide you into groups and give you a rubric to use. When your classmates listen to you give your presentation they will score you using the rubric and give you feedback on how to improve your presentation. Be sure to get the rubrics and feedback from your audience. At least 2 students in each group should present today.
6th and 7th Grade: You should have visuals and should be speaking for 2-3 minutes. Please use the Rubric for the 6th and 7th Grade presentations.
8th Grade: You should present the first two parts of your iShowcase and at least ONE of your best works today. You will not have time to present all 3 for practice. You should be speaking 8-10 minutes. IF you finish all of the presentation today (all of the best works) then your presentation is TOO SHORT! Please use the Rubric for the 8th Grade Presentations.
All students will have time on Monday and Tuesday to make improvements to their projects and practice with partners again.
